About the Artist
Tatsiana Mikhailava is an artist and art instructor who lives in Bellevue Washington.

My subject matter is nature – plain air landscapes and still life paintings. I use oil and watercolor to portray magnificence, elegance, charm, and the beauty of this world.
Getting outside is good for the soul. Through my artwork, I try to bring the outside in. I help the viewer transport themselves to a splendid world and to feel one with nature. To slow down, restore their vital energy, to feel nurtured and complete. And to start seeing those magical moments and majestic scenes all around them.
I completed a Masters of Visual Arts in 1987 in Vitebsk, Belarus. In 2006 I moved to the United States and have lived in Washington state ever since. After raising my two kids, I fully dedicated my time to my biggest passion—art.
Living in Washington, I fell in love with its nature. Landscapes, mountains, lakes, and the ocean captivated me with its beauty and have been an endless source of inspiration. I enjoy hiking, mountaineering, kayaking, and skiing. I love painting outdoors and always bring ideas back to my studio.
I really love teaching art as well, while guiding my students through the exploration of their talents and passions. I cherish seeing them grow and becoming amazing artists themselves.
